Motivation

Sunday, May 29th, 2005

It’s the third day I’ve had off with no requirements to do any real work. Of course, I haven’t done anything else either. I’m honestly amazed at how quickly a day can go, even when I spend the whole day procrastinating.

I suppose, if it counts, I have made a few to-do lists. Whether I actually refer to them and work is another mater, but it could happen.

Holidays !!

Friday, May 27th, 2005

That’s right, I’m now on holidays for two weeks. Of course I’ve made a promise to myself that i’ll actually get some work done in that time, but who am I kidding ?

Seriously, two weeks is a long time, and I had better get a significant amount of work done, especially classwork I need to catch up on. The semester ends two weeks after holidays, by which time everything needs to be handed in and finalised.

As usual, wish me luck ;)

Bonus $100 !!

Thursday, May 26th, 2005

Totally out of the blue, the person I sold stoopidnews.com too has sent me a bonus payment for transferring the site as promised. I would have been a lot quicker if I’d known :P

After hearing lots of stories about domain name buying scams and frauds, I’m happy I bet a decent bloke who really does pay up. Of course, it’s looking more and more likely that I’l be able to get my car fixed sooner rather tahn later !

Day Off

Wednesday, May 25th, 2005

I had a magnificent fay off today, no pressure, no work, nothing to do. Tonight I’ll probably have to stay up all night to get some course work finished, but that’s fine, I have plenty of energy left.

I did get a call yesterday, reminding me to go and give blood again, so I went in today and did so. It’s no hassle at all, and they gave me a beanie baby (a lemur..), drinks, biscuits, and a keyring with my blood type stamped into it. I’m not sure how they can afford all that, but I’ll be happy to go in again with all the freebies they throw at me.

Cars…

Monday, May 23rd, 2005

I posted a while back about my new (second hand) car, and what a great deal it was. Well, now the alternator has failed, and I’ve been spending cash fixing up the other little things and it adds up way too quickly. Today was new battery terminals and brake fluid, before that was a jump start kit for emergencies.

Next will be the alternator, then new rear tyres. That great deal I got is still good, but not as amazing as it seemed first up, that’s for sure.
