Casual Nerd

Just went to buy another domain last night, I chose it a few months back but couldn’t afford it. Turns out it was purchased last month and I’m too late Now I can’t find any suitable domains to use which really bites as I had big plans ! I’m going to have to start some new sites soon, or even better put something on the domains I’m not already using.

I created a domain management template for myself too, so I can jot down existing domains and all their relevant information in a sensible manner. Hopefully it’ll make the whole process a lot easier, as I have too many to remember the information for. I plan another few dozen too

First semester work is almost all complete now, with the exception of a small actionscript assignment. I used my last 3D class to get all that finished, now i just burn it all to CD and hand it in for marking. My insteractive CD project using director is also complete and works fine in tests, so it’s ready to publish on CD for marking. Now I just have to make some actual progress with actionscript, which is difficult seeing as I’ve hardly used flash before.

Just finished first semester of my Multimedia Diploma (Aside from some overdue work I’ll hand in on Monday). We were told at first we had a few weeks break, but we actually have one week break. We also continue straight on with interface design, and 3D animation without a break. I was looking forward to more sleeping in

There’s a mushroom growing in the bathroom. Yeah, really. Along the side of the shower base there’s a slight crack into the wall and it’s just sprouted. It’s really funny but I suppose the high heat / humidity makes perfect mushroom growing conditions.

Yahoo is being kind to me again, with a hundred extra hits to a blogger blog I created ages ago. I’ll have to update it now and see if makes any money !

My main ‘TGP’ has really started to pull some SE traffic, more than 3000 this month from yahoo, and 200 from Altavista, 100 from Google Images, With about another thousand spread between a dozen smaller search engines. It’s a small victory in the constant struggle to build traffic on the web.

I just noticed they’ve gone a bit further with the use by date on my packet of vita-brits. (Wheat cereal biscuits) Rather than just print the date, 09/02/06, they’ve even named the time – 8:45. I wonder if it’s am or pm ?
