Paypal lick my nuts

Wednesday, July 27th, 2005

A few days ago I helped a friend set up a fresh gmail account, godaddy account, hosting, and paypal account, so he could manage his own domain name. When he went to pay for the domain of course, and tried to pay through paypal, it would only let him pay by credit card.

I had already sent enough to his account to cover the domain, but apparently he can only use the account if he has a credit card. WHY ? He chose paypal because he doesn’t have a credit card. If he wanted to pay that way he would have done so on the site without using paypal.

Their customer support sent an email that basically said a credit card is his only option to actually use the account. Useless.

Tuesday, July 26th, 2005

Haven’t posted in a bit, but I have to update now for Saturday. went to see GUD, a funny trio headed by Paul McDermot. Although they crossed the moral line a few times, they were hilariously funny throughout the night.

House Inspection

Saturday, July 23rd, 2005

Got a few minutes before the agent arrives and starts showing people through my unit. Well, not mine of course, but the landlord’s. I’d be a lot happier if it was mine, they’re not going cheap.

Anyway, I’ve spent all last night and this morning cleaning when I had better things to do. I’ve got half a dozen pieces of work on the go, as well as a little paid work that’s just not moving.

Car Fixed !!

Saturday, July 16th, 2005

Oh yeah, this is exciting. No, really, having the car back on the road without worrying about the battery dying is a great relief. Had to have new bearings and brushes for the alternator, and new battery and leads. Now it starts like never before, even in the cold which is great on the cold mornings.

Google “Earth” is Amazing !

Monday, July 11th, 2005

I just downloaded it and started testing, even though I’m on dial up, and I’m astounded. I could search out cities quite easily though I had to manually locate local cities… Zooming in on melbourne it was easy to spot Melbourne Central, Telstra Dome, and the Crown complex.

I looked for my own house but unfortunately it’s under a big cloud :P
